Publisher's Summary

Cowritten by USA Today best-selling author Tara Sivec and award-winning narrator Andi Arndt, a hysterically funny, heartfelt romance - created specifically for the audio format!
Nothing good ever comes from drinking a box of wine alone. So when I decided to entertain my drunken self by setting up some hand-me-down podcasting equipment and reading the steamy parts from romance novels, I never thought anyone would actually listen. The fact that I admitted my huge crush on my sexy next door neighbor made the whole thing even more mortifying. But sometimes life surprises you, and that’s how my podcast, Heidi’s Discount Erotica, was born.
Now I, Heidi Larsen, a sweet former kindergarten teacher in Waconia, Minnesota, lead a scandalous double life reading erotic novels to the listening world. And with each episode, I find myself embracing my new alter ego more and more. Now I’m starting to feel more comfortable in my own skin and do things I never would have dreamed of - like kissing my neighbor.
Look out, Waconia, because Heidi’s on the loose! She’s in your ears, in your hearts, and down your pants...wait, that didn’t sound as good as it did in my head. Well, you get the picture, don’tcha know!

My Review

Heidi is all of Us!

I waited patiently for the massive drama to unfold. After all, we have our amazing Heidi drinking boxed wine and trying her best to say dick. Her bestie is giving her beautifully written sex scenes to read, aloud, for practicing these words she can’t say. And, the thing I expected drama to come from- heidi is talking, in detail, about hunka hunka man candy next door and how much she wants to cover him in chocolate and lick it off one ab at a time. So- there’s gonna be drama. I braced. I prayed it wouldn’t be horrible and it wasn’t. It was, really, okay.
Heidi is us. She’s the one who so wants to break out of her shell and she wants to fall in love and she wants to be happy and she wants to find herself. Heidi is the person most of us have been, at some point in our life. And she finds it. SHE FINDS HERSELF! Say it with me- SHE FINDS HERSELF! And she was able to remember who she was, where she started, what her goals were, and in the end she was her! She was all of us. She fell in love, started a new job, found out she could say cock and not get struck by lightening.
And Brett. Oh, my beautiful future book boyfriend (he is in line, I’ve got a couple more to go through first). He’s the book boyfriend that you take home to meet mom and dad. He’s the book boyfriend you can have book babies with or maybe a book cat. But he is a great guy.
I’m not gonna day this book changed my life because that would be stupid but, um, Andi Arndt and Tara Sivic are amazing. And I did have to say “hey- hubby- lemme tell you about this book!” And made him listen to me talk about the creative genius behind it.

So-
Creative expression- 5 stars
Book boyfriend-ability- level fiancé
Drama - mild and able to overlook
